Hobie Fleet 214 is based out of Vancouver
BC and sailing off the sandy beach of Jericho.
Fleet 214 is a sanction fleet following the Hobie
tradition of fun events, one design racing, clinics, and
planned excursions. There are seven other Hobie
fleets in our Division 4 that regularly meet with us to
share the social aspect of sailing and exchanging ideas
on sail performance.

Vancouver Hobie Fleet 214 for the 2010 season. All
Hobie catamarans are welcome to join us including the
16, 17, 18, 20 and F18 Tiger / WildCat.

2010
Hobie Fleet 214 had a
tremendous 2009 season within the Pacific North West Division
4. Members and teams were all over the province of BC
and State of Washington having fun racing their cats' and
sharing stories with friends. The pinnacle event was the 2009
North American Hobie Championships at Lake Havasu
Arizona. Our fleet was represented in Hobie 18 and
Tiger.
As we head into the
2010 season, the schedule is complete with both Hobie focused
events and a few open class events. Plus we will
be having cat clinics and JSCA Sunday racing.
This year there will
be four Hobie build regattas. In the tradition of
Hobie events, they will be held in a location that permits
camping, hotels, or RVs. Dinners will be provided with
the regatta entrance and held in a private area so that we can
move about with our dinner and chat with many people.
Regatta registration is also very reasonable as the various
fleets are motivated to build relationships and collaborate
catamaran knowledge - rather than build bank
accounts.
